When to Book a Newborn Session
You book your due date or c section date if known. Babies always come when they feel like, so early or late arrival as a professional newborn photographer I plan around this for all scenarios. Worst thing you can do is not book your photographer if you know who you want and then baby comes early. Then you have approx 4 days to find someone last min who will take you last min. I very rarely can accommodate under 30 day contacts. We plan for early or late delivery so you dont worry about when baby arrives once you've booked in. I am a master scheduler I plan for early and late deliveries of all clients when taking booking. Your guaranteed to get in the studio between the 6th to 10th day, if you and the baby's health allows. That's why booking your photographer 3 - 4 months prior is so important.

We offer no cost consultations, that are quick and very effective. The consultation allows you to get familiar with us and make sure were a good fit for you. We go over exactly what you want and need. We go over the pricing and products with no commitment too book. We get everything figured out ahead of time so you don’t have to worry in between the consult and the shoot date. You get to meet your photographer; you won’t be left wondering will the photographer do this? Will they shoot that picture? Can I add more people? Are pets welcome? That way both of you are on the same page about what’s expected. You will be given your photographers personal cell number so you can contact them if anything comes up. You will leave knowing you’re taken care of so you can focus your time and energy on the important things like family.

When to book
Maternity Sessions are best photographed in the 32nd to 36th week of pregnancy. During this period of your pregnancy, you are starting to get your energy back because most will no longer feel the nauseated. Not only you feel better during week 32-36, you actually can fit properly into maternity clothes. You’re more likely to feel better before the ninth month due to hormonal changes towards the end of pregnancy.
Newborn Sessions
Are booked by your due date and adjusted as you drop or go into labor. We need to know when these things happen asap, so we can arrange our schedule to photograph them between their 6th and 10th day new. This is when the baby sleeps best and also when their developmental stage allows for the best possible newborn poses. After bones harden and stomach develops we can still get great images but are less pose possibilities are possible and wont be capable for all the poses you see on our site. Its not safe to do some of the posing after they pass this developmental stage. They also no longer stay curly or bring feet up but flail legs and arms outward. We can still get 100's of great options you just miss the first newness. We can make great images either way.
Rescheduling Sessions may be rescheduled due to illness or injury. If you need to reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible 306-281-7662. If you suspect your baby is unwell, please do not proceed with the session and reschedule for another time. There is no charge to reschedule due to illness or injury, however, once a session has begun, there will be a $50 charge to reschedule.
